Who Are We and Why Does it Matter?

The Australian Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy is one of this country's leading hypnotherapy training providers, created in response to the concerns that many associations had about the quality of hypnotherapy graduates entering the field. Our main focus is to produce high calibre, thoroughly qualified therapists who bring esteem, effectiveness and great results for clients and the industry.

Course recognition

We offer the Diploma of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. Our courses are recognised by the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists, the Australian Hypnotherapists' Association, and comparable professional bodies, and are the very best nationally accredited courses available in Australia.

Faculty

Our faculty is comprised of some of the world's leading hypnotherapy educators and practitioners. As globally-recognised leaders in the profession, they are at the heart of shaping the hypnotherapy landscape, are in regular talks with government, the health insurance industry, professional bodies, and educational institutions

Our lead trainer is Gordon Young (B.A. Dip. Ed, B.A. (Hons), Dip. C.H., Dip. C.S., NLP Master and Trainer), a graduate of the prestigious Milton Erickson Foundation in Arizona. Gordon is also former President of the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists, and former editor of the Australian Journal of Clinical Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy (a peer reviewed journal). Tightening his focus on the Institute and clinical practice, Gordon continues to be a respected, nationally-recognised figure in the industry.

The faculty has links with many of the world's foremost authorities on hypnotherapy. In 2010 Michael Yapko taught a two-day workshop for the Institute with great results and an outstanding attendance. In 2011 our guest lecturer is be Bill O'Hanlon from the USA, one of the world's most well-known and respected therapists, co-creator of Solution-Oriented Therapy, author of 30 books and one of Oprah's most celebrated guest therapists.
